Green Wedding Shoes - Styled Shoot

I teamed up with a group of talented wedding creatives and vendors to put together a styled shoot for Green Wedding Shoes. The theme was sunset and we went all out. I knew I wanted to tie in a dreamy sunset color palette with the florals as well as bring in some neutral and dried elements. Blush became the center of attention and even tied in with other elements like glassware, candles, and even the brides hair. If this doesn’t make you want to jump in your car and drive away into the sunset, I don’t know what will.

Roll out the fleet! We had a whole crew of wheeled vehicles on the premises that included a vintage car, a tipsy trike, a bar trailer, and a cotton candy cart. There are so many options for fun ways to serve guests of all ages and with so many different sizes, there is sure to be one to fit any venue.

Palm Springs Wedding - Lauren + Steve

This wedding was all about weekend getaway vibes and Lauren and Steve created a special event for their close friends and family in Palm Springs. They really solidified the vintage feel of the entire wedding by incorporating dried and fresh florals. It gave the event a modern twist which elevated the entire look. This wasn’t an ordinary bride, I actually grew up vacationing with her so it was really special being able to know her and incorporate her personality with the florals.

The florals perfectly fit the dreamy desert theme and were an awesome mix of dried and fresh flowers. Lauren loved Pampas grass and wasn’t afraid of color so I made sure to incorporate both within their designs. The browns, pinks and oranges blended perfectly with their surroundings are really tied in with their historic venue.

Their venue has some awesome history to it and was actually rented out for the entire weekend. The guests were able to stay on the property and have a pre-wedding pool party the night before. The venue, Casa Cody in Palm Springs, contains 29 original bungalows built in 1920 and was founded by Hollywood pioneer, Harriet Cody, cousin to the legendary, Buffalo Bill.

This wedding was full of unforgettable moments from their first look to the ice cream sandwich truck they rented for dessert. We kept the vintage theme going with the groom’s boutonniere by also incorporating dried flowers in the design. Not only do the dried flowers look amazing, they are a great way of preserving your wedding florals!

I loved being a part of this day and seeing all of the elements come together. The night closed out with Frank Sinatra’s “New York” which was where Lauren and Steve met. The perfect way to end the weekend festivities. These designs were so fun to put together and I already see the dried floral trend is starting to take off. If you have any questions about fully or partially incorporating dried elements in your wedding, feel free to reach out!

Backyard Wedding - Candice + Austin (and puppy!)

Another great backyard wedding happened a few weeks ago in Long Beach and it was a success! I am starting to love the idea of smaller weddings because they are so personal. Only their family was in attendance, plus their brand new puppy!!

The couple had just purchased this home in Long Beach last year so having their nuptials in their very own backyard was even more meaningful. It was a perfect way to break in the new house!

They still had their original florist (me!), photographer, bakery, and beauty artist there to help out! All their favorite details came together, just on a smaller scale.

At the end of the day, it was really a happily ever after! And they’ll still have a big party next year too!!

Real Elopement - Tanya + Ryan

If you’re reading this because your big wedding dreams have changed due to COVID, I feel you! If you are reading this because you’ve always wanted a small intimate wedding ceremony, you may have had the right idea all along! I was lucky enough to be a part of an intimate wedding ceremony earlier this year. Photographed by the talented Ariele Chapman Photography, these two cuties eloped near the Huntington Beach Library!

It was the beginning of quarantine and the engaged couple reached out to me for a bridal bouquet for their elopement. Tanya, the bride, told me her wedding colors were purple and burgundy, and that she trusted me with the rest! Sometimes those words music to the ears or a floral designers and other creatives. It’s great to have the chance to take the artistic reigns on a creative project. I chose to include a boutonnière for the groom too, which was a surprise to the bride. With very little work during this pandemic, I was so excited and honored to be a part of their celebration.

The newlyweds chose to have their immediate family present at their vows. Everyone social distanced successfully! They found a quiet spot near the Huntington Beach Library and had their intimate ceremony. Their family stood near and rejoiced in their love!

Ariele then took the couple for their romantic wedding portraits, nearby. They had a few moments alone to celebrate their wedding vows together! It was a sweet and exciting time for the newly married couple, and a gorgeous setting for their wedding photos.

If you are thinking about eloping or reducing your big wedding to an intimate ceremony instead, then I encourage you to think about what’s most important - marrying the love of your life and best friend. And don’t forget to include a bridal bouquet plus some awesome photography too!
